The poll attracted 250,000 readers from around the world, who voted in several categories, including the most favorite countries, the best cities, resorts and resort islands, to honor the top destinations in the world.

Thanks to white sand beaches and delicious foods, Phu Quoc is also famous as a cradle for the craft of making fish sauce and cultivating pepper, and home to natural coral reefs and thick tropical forests.

The island is now taken as a relaxation paradise for both domestic and foreign tourists. It boasts primeval forests and pristine beaches dotting its 150km coastline.

Six Senses Ninh Van Bay (from Khanh Hoa province) and InterContinental Sun Peninsula Resort (from Da Nang city), have been voted as the seventh and 24th among the 50 best resorts in the world, respectively.
