Party chief welcomes Bangladesh communists

VGP – Communists of Việt Nam and Bangladesh have expressed satisfaction at new progress made in their relations and pledged to boost the traditional friendship between their Parties and peoples.

Vietnamese Communist Party General Secretary Nông Đức Mạnh on May 13 received President of the Communist Party of Bangladesh (CPB) Manzurul Ahsan Khan, who is leading a high-rank CPB delegation to Việt Nam.
General Secretary Mạnh expressed thanks to the CPB and Bangladeshi people for their support to Việt Nam in the past struggle for national liberation and the current national construction.

The Vietnamese Party leader emphasized that the visit would further improve the traditional friendship between the two Parties and countries.
CPB President Manzurul Ahsan Khan showed a deep impression on President Hồ Chí Minh after visiting his home village and attending the workshop “Hồ Chí Minh heritage in the current age.” He also updated General Secretary Mạnh with the results of early talks between the two Parties’ delegations.
He believed in the strong leadership of the Vietnamese Communist Party that can bring happiness and democracy to the people while building a richer and fairer society.

As planned, the Bangladesh delegation will also pay visits to Đà Nẵng and Hồ Chí Minh City.
