Outstanding young startup entrepreneurs honored

According to Mrs. Dang Hong Anh, Vice President of the Viet Nam Youth Federation and President of the Viet Nam Young Entrepreneurs' Association, the Program of voting and awarding the title of excellent young entrepreneur has been implemented since April 2023.

One hundred nineteen applications from 40 provinces and cities nationwide were nominated to participate in the Program.

Through three rounds of scientific and rigorous voting at the Central Government (preliminary selection, practical appraisal, final selection), the final selection committee met and selected 81 typical candidates to award the title of Outstanding Young Entrepreneur and vote by secret ballot for the ten most outstanding candidates to grant the TOP10 title.

The startups run by those entrepreneurs has combined revenue of nearly VND1.7 trillion (US$71.7 million), earned total profits of VND104 billion, and paid VND39 billion to the budget last year.

Chairman of the Party Central Committee's Economic Commission Tran Tuan Anh spoke highly of contributions by young entrepreneurs to the nation's development.

He suggested that the Central Youth Union, the Central Committee of the Viet Nam Youth Union, and the Viet Nam Young Entrepreneurs Association should innovate, improve operational quality and efficiency, and be the youth movement's core to realize the "Startup nation" goal.

First held in 2015, this award is one of the pioneering activities of the Viet Nam Young Entrepreneurs' Association in implementing the Government-launched national startup program.

Through seven times of implementation (2015-2023), the Program has awarded titles to 557 young entrepreneurs and has received the attention and positive response of young entrepreneurs nationwide.

On the same day, the Viet Nam Young Entrepreneurs' Association held a workshop themed "LEARN TO LEAD," during which participants shared their experience in production and business and their startup journey./.
