Minister-Chairman of the Government Office Mai Tien Dung and Japanese Ambassador to Viet Nam Yamada Takio co-chair the event

This is the third seminar on e-government development jointly held by the Government Office and the Japanese Embassy in Viet Nam (after the previous ones in August 2019 and February 2020), and also one of the cooperation and support activities offered by Japan to Viet Nam in the field.

From Japan’s policies and experience, Vietnamese ministries, sectors and localities will discuss, study and properly apply them in accordance with their actual situation.

The Government and the Prime Minister have identified e-government development as a common trend of countries worldwide in 2021 and the following years.

It will also offer room for Viet Nam’s economic development and a foundation to realize the country’s international integration aspirations with the cross-cutting view that e-government must ensure close cohesion between the application of information technology and promoting administrative reform, enhancing publicity and transparency, and renovating the serving methods towards taking the people and businesses as the center and the satisfaction of individual and organizations as an important measure in e-government development.

The Government Office will focus on directing the acceleration of the online processing of records and the enhancement of connections between state administrative agencies and socio-political-professional organizations, while effectively implementing the provision of level-3 and level-4 online public services and online payment on the national public service portal.
