One more COVID-19 infection case confirmed, total rises to 335

VGP - A 24-year-old man living and working in Kuwait over the last two years has been confirmed the latest COVID-19 case in Viet Nam, bringing the patient tally to 335.

The man, born in Dai Tu District of the northern province of Thai Nguyen, was one of the passengers onboard Bamboo Airways' flight H9092.

He is being treated at the HCMC Hospital for Tropical Diseases.

With the latest patient, the number of imported COVID-19 cases in the nation rose to 195, according to the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control.

As of 6:10 am on Wednesday, 325 patients were cleared of the virus, accounting for 97%, the committee said.

The nation is medically monitoring 7,250 people who have been in close contact with COVID-19 patients or come from the pandemic-stricken areas, including 81 at hospitals, 6,248 at centralized quarantine camps, and 921 at places of residence./.
