Foreign visitors traveled to Viet Nam by air hit 2.67 million, making up 88.9 percent while those coming in by road and by sea were estimated at 326,100 and 855,000, respectively.
The number of visitors from the Republic of Korea surged 27-fold on year to make this Northeast Asian country the biggest source of international arrivals to Viet Nam with over 763,000 people.
It was followed by the U.S. with 266,000 people, Cambodia 172,000, Thailand 153,400 and Japan 146,600.
According to the Viet Nam National Administration of Tourism, the number of international tourists searching for information about Viet Nam is growing significantly.
