Noi Bai named in Skytrax’s world’s top 100 airport

VGP – Ha Noi’s Noi Bai International Airport has been named in the world’s top 100 airport listing for the fifth consecutive year in 2020, announced the Airports Corporation of Viet Nam (ACV) on May 12.

Noi Bai International Airport, has slipped one place from last year to 87th in the annual ranking released on May 12 by Skytrax, a UK-based consultancy that runs a yearly airline and airport review based on votes by international air travelers.

Noi Bai International Airport with two terminals and two runways has a capacity of 25 million passengers. 29.2 million passengers used the airport in 2019, up 13% from a year ago.

The airport has improved its management quality while increasing channels to receive passenger feedback through email, hotline, website, social media, and the eSmile platform.

It also provides passengers with free wifi and mobile phone charging outlets, along with enhancing its landscape and facilities.

Passengers are now provided with a series of conveniences like free fresh water, free wifi, freeshuttle bus for connecting guests, free transport for disabled passengers and free mobile phone charging outlets.

Also according to the ACV, Da Nang International Airport has also been named among the top 10 improved airports in the world by Skytrax.

Earlier in August 2019, terminal T2 at the Da Nang International Airport was recognized for four-starred services by Skytrax.

Viet Nam's aviation market has ranked among the world’s 10 fastest-growing on the back of its recent tourism boom, according to the Airport Council International (ACI), a non-profit organization representing the world’s airports.

Airports across Viet Nam served near 116 million passengers last year, up 12% from 2018. The country currently has 22 civilian airports, including 10 international ones. Tan Son Nhat and Noi Bai are the country’s two largest airports.
