Nha Trang to host professional golf tournament

In preparation for the Vinpearl DIC Legends Viet Nam 2023 tournament, a press conference was held in Khanh Hoa on November 27, during which the organizers announce an enticing prize system, with a cash prize fund for the tournament valued at US$730,000 (equivalent to VND18 billion). There will also be an impressive array of other valuable prizes, for a total value exceeding VND13 billion.

Vinpearl DIC Legends Viet Nam 2023 will be held at Vinpearl Golf Nha Trang from November 27 to December 2. The event encompasses two Pro-Am rounds and three official Alliance competition days. Aligned with the European Legends Tour system, the tournament is a collaborative effort with Viet Challenge Joint Stock Company. It features distinctive competition formats, fostering opportunities for emerging talents and amateur golfers to engage, enrich their competitive prowess, and cultivate experience and confidence for participation in high-level tournaments in the future.

In particular, The Pro-Am - Vinpearl DIC Legends Viet Nam 2023 tournament includes the "Championship Pro-Am" and "Invitational Pro-Am" events scheduled from November 28th to 29th. These tournaments will include the participation of 24 golf legends and 72 Vietnamese amateur athletes.

The golfers will be organized into 24 teams, with each team consisting of one legend and three amateur golfers. They will engage in a Scramble format, competing as a team of four individuals without the application of Handicap over 18 holes. In the course of each round, every team member must play at least three tee shots. The victorious team will be determined by having the lowest actual (gross) score at the conclusion of the tournament.

Vinpearl DIC Legends Viet Nam 2023 features 60 legendary names from the world of golf participating in the tournament. Most notably, highly anticipated golfers including Michael Campbell - Tournament Ambassador, Euan McIntosh, Emanuele Canonica, John Price, James Kingston, Adilson Da Silva, Stephen Dodd, Joakim Haeggman, Peter Baker, and Markus Brier are poised to deliver a unique golfing experience at Vinpearl Golf Nha Trang.

Throughout the official competition days from November 30th to December 2nd, the 60 legendary golfers and 30 amateur players will be organized into 30 teams. Specifically, the 15 amateur players with the lowest actual (gross) scores will be selected to compete for the prestigious Best Amateur prize on December 2nd. Concurrently, the assembly of golf legends will engage in spirited competition to determine the champion of the coveted Vinpearl DIC Legends Viet Nam 2023 trophy.

Vinpearl DIC Legends Viet Nam 2023 has announced a prize pool reaching VND31 billion, including a cash prize value of US$730,000, equivalent to VND18 billion. The top 3 winners of the tournament will receive prizes of up to US$200,000 (equivalent to nearly VND5 billion).

In addition to the prestigious cash prizes, the tournament champion will also be awarded the coveted championship cup. Furthermore, there are 14 Hole In One (HIO) prizes: 06 prizes include VinFast VF 9 cars, and 08 prizes consist of other valuable awards, with a total value exceeding VND13 billion.

The eventual victor will be awarded a trophy designed to resemble a traditional Vietnamese bronze drum, along with a prize package valued at up to US$730,000 (equivalent to over VND18 billion).

Vinpearl DIC Legends Viet Nam 2023 debuts Viet Nam's inaugural participation in this highly-esteemed and expansive tournament series hosted by the European Legends Tour, marking a significant milestone for the Southeast Asian country.

In addition to highly-proficient event management, the organizing committee has introduced an impressive variety of activities, including an champion's cup parade across all three regions: North (in Hai Phong), Central (in Nha Trang), and South (in Ho Chi Minh City). Continuing this journey, on the morning of November 27 the assembly of golf legends conducted a parade of the champion's tropy from the iconic Tram Huong Tower, a symbol of Khanh Hoa, to the venue at Vinpearl Nha Trang.
