New Deputy Prosecutor General appointed

Party General Secretary and President To Lam (R) presents decisions on the appointment of Deputy Prosecutor General of the Supreme People’s Procuracy to Ho Duc Anh

Ho was promoted to the new from from his previous post as Director of the SPP's Department of Public Prosecutions and Supervision over the Investigation of Economic Crimes.

The Party leader congratulated the new Deputy Prosecutor General on the appointment, asking him to work with other SPP leaders to reform professional activities, build a clean and strong Party organization, and develop a powerful and comprehensive procuracy sector with upright, objective, prudent, and humble staff.

The Party chief expected that the newly appointed Deputy Prosecutor General will continue upholding the procuracy sector's glorious tradition and excellently fulfill all assigned tasks to deserve the trust from the Party, State, people, and the sector.

Earlier, on August 26, Nguyen Huy Tien, Permanent Deputy Prosecutor General of the Supreme People's Procuracy of Viet Nam, was elected by the National Assembly as Chief Procurator of the Supreme People's Procuracy.

The Supreme People's Procuracy has five Deputy Prosecutor Generals including Ms. Nguyen Hai Tram, Mr. Nguyen Duy Giang, Mr. Nguyen Quang Dung, Mr. Ta Quang Khai and Mr. Ho Duc Anh.

The People's Procuracy exercise the power to prosecute and supervise in law observance judicial activities of Viet Nam. The People's Procuracy has the duties to uphold the Constitution and laws, to protect human rights, citizen's rights, the socialist regime, legitimate rights of the State, legitimate rights and interests of entities, individuals, thus ensuring that the laws are consistently and strictly enforced./.
