New COVID-19 cases drop to 10-month low at 1,895

VGP – The Ministry of Health confirmed additional 1,895 COVID-19 cases on Saturday, raising Viet Nam's COVID-19 patient tally to 10,695,036.

The number of daily new COVID-19 cases from March 1-May 14, 2022

All the latest patients are domestic infections, with Ha Noi reporting the most with 489 cases, followed by the central province of Nghe An and the northern province of Quang Ninh with 115 and 95 cases, respectively.

The ministry said there were 5,563 new recoveries, taking the total number of recovered cases to 9,349,592.

The ministry also announced that there are two coronavirus-related deaths recorded over the last 24 hours, bringing the nation's COVID-19 death toll to 43,065 or 0.4 percent of the national caseload.

The Southeast Asian nation has administered 216,808,145 COVID-19 vaccine doses, an increase of 295,572 doses from Friday./.
