New cheese factory opens in Binh Duong

VGP - Bel Viet Nam, a subsidiary of France’s Bel Group on March 16 inaugurated its second cheese plant in the southern province of Binh Duong province.

Bel Group produces world renowned cheese brands such as Laughing Cow, Kiri, Babybel, Goodi and Regal Picon.

Built at a cost of € 12.9 million, the facility is capable of producing 10,000 tons of cheese products per year to supply domestic and regional markets. 

The factory uses the latest technologies from Europe including the UHT technology to ensure product quality meeting the EU’s strict standards.

Speaking at the factory’s inauguration ceremony, Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Tran Thanh Liem said the event marks a new development of the company in line with the local policy on investment attraction.

Binh Duong is committed to creating the best conditions possible for Bel Viet Nam to operate effectively, Liem pledged.

The group’s products will not only meet local consumer demand, but will also be exported to other countries in the South East Asian region.
