The Government will put aside around VND 955 billion (US $46.75 million) sourced from State budget, local budgets, international aid, and other sources of capital to implement five projects of the program.
The first project targets to raise awareness of gender parity among 70% of civil servants, military forces, students, and people.
The second project aims to better the efficiency of state management in the field by providing training courses for management personnel, setting up national database on gender equality, and assessing the implementation of the Law on Gender Equality.
The third project will enhance the capacity for female deputies of the National Assembly and People’s Council at all levels, female leaders at all levels, and female candidates for the National Assembly and People’s Council at all levels for the 2016-2020 term.
The fourth project looks to support fields, sectors, regions and localities which are most vulnerable to gender inequality by carrying out five pilot models on job generation, building of kindergartens in working places, anti-domestic violence, amendment of village rules, and consultancy services in mountainous areas inhabited by ethnic minorities.
The fifth and final project targets to provide consultancy services on gender equality via four social centers in cities and provinces in the North, Central region, Central Highlands and South./.
