The National Spring Fair 2026 will take place at the Viet Nam Exposition Center, the largest in Southeast Asia and one of the ten biggest exhibition complexes worldwide

Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son, who is the Head of the National Expo Steering Committee chaired a meeting on January 8 to review the preparations for the National Spring Fair.

As the second iteration of the National Spring Fair, the event aims to showcase domestic products, stimulate consumer demand, and inject fresh momentum into Viet Nam's development as the country enters a new development era.

Planned to coincide with the Lunar New Year and take place shortly after the 14th National Party Congress, the fair is expected to foster a festive atmosphere nationwide while boosting domestic consumption and promoting Vietnamese-made goods.

The fair will also help advance the campaign "Vietnamese people give priority to using Vietnamese goods" and introduce Viet Nam's traditional Tet culture to international visitors.

Bui instructed the Ministry of Industry and Trade, as the lead agency, to work closely with the People's Committees of Ha Noi, Ho Chi Minh City, and other localities, as well as the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to finalize the plan to organize the fair and submit to the Prime Minister for consideration and approval.

He said the overall layout and design should be finalized with clearly defined product zones — including agricultural produce, textiles and garments, footwear, and wooden furniture — to ensure smooth organization and avoid overlapping exhibition booths.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh had decided to establish the National Expo Steering Committee, led by Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son. The Steering Committee is in charge of studying and proposing to the Prime Minister's specific, practical, and effective plans, solutions, and approaches for organizing National Fairs./.
