National Assembly to approve 15 laws during upcoming extra session

The draft laws are:

(i) Law on Petroleum (revised);

(ii) Law on Grassroots-level Reconciliation (revised);

(iii) Law on Urban Development;

(iv) Law on Legal Dissemination and Education (revised);

(v) Law on Prevention and Control of Weapons of Mass-destruction;

(vi) Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of 10 laws regarding administrative procedures and business conditions in the field of agriculture and environment;

(vii) Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of 09 laws on military and defense;

(viii) Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on State Bank of Viet Nam, the Law on Anti-Money Laundering, and the Law on Credit Institutions;

(ix) Law amending and supplementing a number of the Law on Radio Frequency, the Law on Telecommunications, the Law on E-transactions, and the Law on Technology Transfer;

(x) Law amending and supplementing Article 6 and Appendix IV on the list of conditional business investment lines under the Law on Investment;

(xi) Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Customs;

(xii) Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Architecture;

(xiii) Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Vietnamese Workers working Abroad under Contract;

(xiv) Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on State Compensation Liability;

(xv) Law amending and supplementing a number of the Law on Publication.

The legislative body will discuss and approve mechanisms to remove bottlenecks against wind and solar power projects.

The legislators will discuss other bills like Penal Code (revised), Criminal Procedures Law (revised), Land Law (revised), Housing Law (revised), State Budget Law, and Law on Organization of Investigation Bodies (revised).

The National Assembly will also consider and decide on other important policies, including investment policy for Ring Road 5 in Ha Noi region, adjustments to the investment policy of the Lao Cai-Ha Noi-Hai Phong railway project, the transformation of Quang Ninh and Bac Ninh as centrally-run cities; several policies related to Ninh Thuan nuclear power plant project; and the incorpration of four national target programs into one program; and personnel work./.
