NA passes resolution on socio-economic development plan in 2020

The resolution aims to stabilize the macro-economy; control inflation; raise productivity, quality, efficiency, and self-reliance of the national economy.

In addition, the resolution targets to speed up the economic restructuring in combination with transformation of the growth modal; accelerate key projects; and uphold the roles of economic regions and urban areas. 

In 2020, Viet Nam will develop high-quality manpower; develop culture, society, and protect the environment; consolidate national defense, security; tighten land management; protect the environment; prevent diseases; and respond to climate change. 

Viet Nam will effectively implement free trade agreements and successfully take over the ASEAN Chairmanship 2020; AIPA 41 Chairmanship, the UNSC non-permanent seat in the 2020-2021 period.
