More than 9,000 people under medical surveillance to prevent COVID-19 transmission

VGP – As many as 9,234 people who have been in close contact with COVID-19 patients or come from the pandemic-stricken areas are under medical surveillance, according to the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control.

Of the total, 88 are being quarantined at hospitals, 366 at places of residence and 8780 at centralized quarantined facilities, the committee added.

As of 6:00 pm on Tuesday, the patient tally remained unchanged at 334, including 325 recovered cases.

Regarding British patient 91, Luong Ngoc Khue, Associate Professor, deputy head of the Sub-committee for COVID-19 prevention and treatment said the patient continues with miraculous recovery.

The patient has been disconnected from ventilator for the last three days and he can communicate and cough./.
