More than 3,000 COVID-19 cases added to national tally

VGP – There were 3,123 new COVID-19 cases over the last 24 hours, taking Viet Nam's COVID-19 patient tally to 10,656,649.

The latest patients consist of one imported cases and 3,122 domestic infections in 53 cities and provinces namely Ha Noi (761), Phu Tho (185), Yen Bai (176), Quang Ninh (151), Bac Ninh (150), Tuyen Quang (132), Vinh Phuc (124), Lao Cai (123), Nghe An (116), Hung Yen (101), Thai Binh (92), Quang Binh (73), Thai Nguyen (71), Bac Kan (70), Ha Tinh (68), Da Nang 61), Ba Ria – Vung Tau (50), Hai Duong (47), Cao Bang (47), Lam Dong (45), Son La (31), Ninh Binh (29), Ha Giang (28), Lang Son (28), Thanh Hoa (28), Ha Nam (28), Ho Chi Minh City (26), Nam Dinh (23), Binh Phuoc (22), Phu Yen (21), Quang Ngai (20), Quang Tri (20), Ca Mau (18), Quang Nam (17), Binh Duong (15), Gia Lai (14), Lai Chau (13), Dien Bien (13), Dong Nai (13), Hoa Binh (12), Hai Phong (11), Tay Ninh (11), Ben Tre (9), Khanh Hoa (7), Bac Lieu (5), Binh Thuan (3), Tra Vinh (3), Thua Thien Hue (2), Long An (2), Vinh Long (2), Dong Thap (2), Kien Giang (2), and Can Tho (1).

The same day, there were additional 1,090 recoveries, raising the total number of recovered cases to 9,265456, said the ministry.

The ministry also announced further two fatalities, bringing the nation's COVID-19 death toll to 43,044 or 0.4 percent of the national caseload.

The nation has administered 214,991,119 COVID-19 vaccine doses, an increase of 51,917 doses from Sunday./.
