More than 1,800 COVID-19 cases added to national tally

The latest infections were recorded in 48 cities and provinces, with Ha Noi reporting the most with 403 cases followed by the northern provinces of Vinh Phuc (139), Phu Tho (125), and Bac Ninh (80).

The ministry said there were additional 8,437 recoveries, taking the total number of recovered cases to 9,373,294.

The ministry also announced another fatality, bringing the nation's COVID-19 death toll to 43,072 or 0.4 percent of the national caseload.
