Mong Cai-Dongxing international border gate welcomes 10 millionth passenger

VGP - Mong Cai-Dongxing international border gate in the northern province of Quang Ninh and China’s southwest Guangzi Zhuang Autonomous Region has welcomed the 10 millionth passenger on November 6. It welcomed three million tourists so far this year.

A ceremony was organized on the same day to cerebrate the event, which marks outstanding development of the border gate in 2018 and highlights the development in the number of passengers and makes contributions to advertising trademarks and promoting socio-economic development for the locality. 

Dongxing is the third largest land border gate in China. Since 2013, China has allowed foreigners to conduct visa procedures at the gate.

More than 4 million Chinese people visited Viet Nam last year, representing a year-on-year surge of 48.6%.

In the first quarter of this year, Viet Nam served over 1.35 million Chinese tourists, a year-on-year rise of 42.9%.
