Microsoft interested in digital transformation cooperation with Viet Nam

The Vice President expressed the aspiration to Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh at their meeting on May 17 (local time). 

Prime Minister Pham expected that Microsoft would contribute to the digital transformation process, and the building of an e-Government, a digital economy and a digital society in Viet Nam.  

He suggested Microsoft work with Vietnamese ministries, agencies, and enterprises to build appropriate cooperative projects and programs in accordance with development path in Viet Nam in the spirit of harmonized interests and shared risks. 

In reply, Gupta said that Viet Nam is a dynamic country with young population that is ready to absorb new technologies. Microsoft wishes to build digital skills for everyone, both public and private, and develop data science in Viet Nam. 

He added that Microsoft is coordinating with the Vietnamese Ministry of Information and Communications to implement cooperative programs, including those on technologies to strengthen transparency, confidence, and anti-corruption./.
