Localities reopen physical schools

VGP – As of mid-November, 18 provinces and cities in Viet Nam have yet reopened physical schools and keep on with online teaching, according to the Ministry of Education and Training.

The ministry reported that up to 45 localities have gradually resumed face-to-face learning, an increase of 23 localities in comparison with the previous month. 

Specifically, nine northern provinces re-opening physical schools are Tuyen Quang, Yen Bai, Son La, Hoa Binh, Bac Kan, Cao Bang, Quang Ninh, Ninh Binh, and Lang Son. 

Eighteen localities are applying online teaching and learning from television, including two northern provinces of Ha Giang and Ha Nam and 16 southern provinces such as Binh Phuoc, Tay Ninh, Binh Duong, Long An, Dong Thap, An Giang, Kien Giang, Can Tho, Hau Giang, Ca Mau, Bac Lieu, Soc Trang, Vinh Long, Tra Vinh, Dong Nai, and Binh Thuan. 

The rest of 36 localities are combining physical teaching and online teaching in which students in green zones are allowed to take face-to-face learning and others in risk areas keep online learning.

Specifically, in Bac Giang province, learners at Yen Viet district came back to school from November 15.  

Binh Dinh province and Da Nang city postponed preset plans on school reopening from mid-November. 

Students at Chi Linh City and Thanh Ha district of Hai Duong Province shifted to online learning from November 11. 

In Hai Phong city, resurgence of community infections forced schools to resume online learning. 

In Thai Binh province, schools at Vu Thu district were temporarily closed./.
