Accordingly, from now until the end of 2018, alongside the 53 procedures that have already been connected through the national OSS mechanism, ministries and sectors will have to finalize the connection of all the 143 administrative formalities they have registered, while fully participating in and implementing the ASEAN OSS mechanism in line with commitments and implementation roadmaps of ASEAN member nations.
The technical readiness must also be available in order to connect and exchange information with other trade partners outside ASEAN following the international commitments to which Viet Nam is a signatory.
All the ministries and government bodies directly and indirectly related to the use of information on the imports, exports and transit of goods, as well as entry/exit individuals and transportation means, will be connected and access information on state management via the national OSS customs portal.
The PM asked the chairpersons of the provincial-level People’s Committees, in coordination with the national steering committee on the national ASEAN and national OSS mechanisms and trade facilitation (Committee 1899) and the Finance Ministry, to regularly monitor and supervise the implementation of the national and ASEAN OSS mechanisms and trade facilitation in their localities.
In the context of Viet Nam’s increasingly extensive integration with other countries in the region and around the world, the innovative, extensive and effective reforms of the national and ASEAN OSS mechanisms and trade facilitation is of great significance, contributing to realizing the Party and State’s guideline on administrative reforms and the improvement of Viet Nam’s rankings in business climate and competitiveness, towards creating an impulse for accelerating economic growth and exports.
