Israel asked to support Viet Nam’s access COVID-19 vaccines

VGP – Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh congratulated Naftali Bennett upon his election as Prime Minister of Israel over the phone on Monday.

PM Pham expressed his belief that under the leadership of PM Bennett, the people of Israel will gain greater achievements in building a prosperous and happy country.

He suggested Israel help Viet Nam access sources of COVID-19 vaccine and drug supply as soon and as much as possible, and transfer part of its vaccines that Israel has signed with partners.

Both sides should team up in research and development of vaccines and treatment therapies, Pham said.

Bennett spoke highly of Viet Nam’s recent outcomes in COVID-19 containment, socio-economic development and external relations, affirming his country attaches importance to foster multi-faceted cooperation with Viet Nam.

The two PMs pledged to tighten cooperation to further deepen the multi-faceted ties between the two countries, speed up the negotiation and signing of bilateral trade and labor agreements.

Comparing notes on regional and international matters of shared interest, the pair underlined the importance of settling the East Sea issue on the basis of international law, committing to mutual assistance at multilateral mechanisms./.
