Indian top legislator starts three-day official visit to Viet Nam

VGP - Speaker of the Indian Lok Sabha Om Birla and his entourage arrived in Ha Noi on April 19, starting three-day official visit to Viet Nam at the invitation of Vietnamese National Assembly (NA) Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue.

This is the first visit of Om Birla to Viet Nam since he was elected as the Speaker of the Lok Sabha in June 2019. 

The official visit, held on the occasion of the 50th founding anniversary of diplomatic ties between Viet Nam and India, has manifested the high political trust and close relationship between the two nations in general and between the two parliaments in particular. 

The visit aims to strengthen Viet Nam-India comprehensive strategic partnership within the framework of  the agreements inked between the two countries in December 2016./.
