Hue’s ancient citadel under restoration

VGP – The PM has approved investment orientations for a project to preserve, restore and develop the values of Hue’s ancient citadel.

The project focuses on embellishing and developing the relic values of Hue’s ancient citadel in a bid to preserve the special cultural resources of Vietnamese people.

It also targets to craft tourism products; raise incomes for locals; promote local development in Thua Thien-Hue province and the Central region.

The project consists of ten sub-components which will spend the State budget and 17 others which will receive local budget.

It will last eight years from 2016 to 2024.

The People’s Committee of Thua Thien-Hue was assigned to work with the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, the Ministry of Planning and Investment, and relevant agencies to deploy the project./.
