Hoi An to pilot electric tourist cars

VGP - Hoi An Town in the central province of Quang Nam will pilot the use of electric cars to transport tourists next year.

A pilot project using four-wheel electric cars to transport tourists inside Hoi An city has been approved by the Quang Nam provincial People’s Committee.

About 50 electric cars will be operated at certain routes in the tourist town from 6 am to 10 pm.

Local authorities will determine the specific locations of the stops and install suitable traffic signs along the routes on which the tourist cars will operate.

This new means of transportation is very environmentally friendly. It not only saves energy, but also cuts down on noise pollution.

Electric cars have been used in Hanoi,Nghe An,Thanh Hoa, Quang Binh, Hai Phong, Da Nang, LaoCai, Thua Thien-Hue, Khanh Hoa and Ba Ria-VungTau, have put electric cars into use and showed remarkable results./.
