Viet Nam's Hoi An captures the hearts of tourists around the world with its charming old town, listed by UNESCO as a World Cultural Heritage, along with its idyllic pace of life, romantic beaches, and a vibrant backdrop with diverse cuisine with the quintessence of France and China.

The U.S.-based agency recommended travellers take a guided cycling tour to visit local artisans and learn about their craft, from throwing pottery and making traditional reed mats to noodle making and wood carving in order to get a real taste of Hoi An and authentic village life.

Travelers can settle in for some stylish pampering at AnioBoutique Hotel, complete with floating cocktails and nibbles in the property's elegant courtyard swimming pool.

The top 10 most hospitable cities in the world in 2022 include other destinations such as Matera (Italy), Bled (Slovenia), Nafplio (Greece), Nusa Lembongan (Indonesia) and Monte Verde (Brazil).

The ranking collected comments from over 232 million verified traveler reviews made on the travel and accommodation booking website. These are the destinations that have an above-average number of properties with exceptional reviews for friendly hospitality.

*Previously, the ancient town in the central province of QuangNam was named among the 21 most romantic places in the world by the Time Out, a magazine in the United Kingdom.

Quang Nam Province is one of the first localities in Viet Nam to receive foreign tourists under a vaccine passport program.

Before the COVID-19 outbreaks, Hoi An attracted over four million international visitors and was hailed as Asia's top cultural city destination in the same year.
