Prime Minister Pham highly spoke of the successful operation of the joint venture between HEINEKEKEN and SATRA (Saigon Trading Group) over the past 30 years. So far, Heineken has already invested US$1 billion in Viet Nam and plans to expand the operation with an extra investment of US$ 500 million in the next ten years.
Viet Nam, as the Prime Minister said, encourages businesses to develop green development, reduce water and energy consumption and promote waste recycling.
The Prime Minister suggested that Heineken continue to use modern, advanced and sustainable technologies in the process of investment and business, and continue to contribute to social security and environmental protection in Viet Nam.
Pham pledged to accompany and support Heineken to expand investment and business activities, adding that he will direct agencies to study and consider Heineken's proposal on tax policy.
He also affirmed that Viet Nam will continue to improve its tax policy in the spirit of "harmonious benefits, shared risks".

Earlier the same day, Prime Minister Pham received Ms. Ingrid Thijssen, President of the Netherlands Confederation of Business and Employers (VNO-NCW).
Thijssen hailed Viet Nam’s effort in perfecting the business environment, urging the two sides to strengthen cooperation in fields of the Netherlands' strength and Viet Nam's demand, including logistics, high-tech farming, food, and seaport development.
Prime Minister Pham lauded the role of the VNO-NCW in assisting Dutch businesses and groups to expand footholds in Viet Nam.
The Netherlands is the largest European investor in Viet Nam, ranking 8th out of 141 countries and territories doing business in the Southeast Asian country with 409 active projects worth US$13.7 billion.
The Government leader suggested the Confederation serve as a bridge to enable more Dutch businesses to invest in Viet Nam in such areas as high technology, innovation, digital transformation, green, clean energy, sustainable agriculture, infrastructure and logistics./.
