The number of new COVID-19 cases from March 1-29, 2022

The latest patients consist of two imported cases and 88,376 domestic infections in 62 cities and provinces, namely Ha Noi (8,993), Phu Tho (4,302), Bac Giang (4,047), Nghe An (3,817), Yen Bai (3,232), Lao Cai (2,958), Dak Lak (2,714), Vinh Phuc (2,710), Quang Ninh (2,598), Ha Giang (2,391), Quang Binh (2,217), Thai Binh (2,176), Son La (2,053), Bac Kan (2,009), Hai Duong (1,986), Lang Son (1,979), Ca Mau (1,977), Cao Bang (1,937), Tuyen Quang (1,854), Hung Yen (1,769), Lam Dong (1,614), Tay Ninh (1,572), Thai Nguyen (1,502), Hoa Binh (1,470), Bac Ninh (1,456), Quang Tri (1,437), Lai Chau (1,424), Ha Nam (1,312), Binh Dinh (1,290), Dien Bien (1,240), Vinh Long (1,165), Binh Duong (1,021), Dak Nong (1,019), Quang Ngai (901), Ben Tre (899), Ha Tinh (826), Ninh Binh (823), Nam Dinh (812), Ba Ria-Vung Tau (801), Da Nang (752), Tra Vinh (738), Ho Chi Minh City (734), Thua Thien-Hue (678), Binh Phuoc (657), Phu Yen (625), Khanh Hoa (625), Thanh Hoa (561), Hai Phong (522), Binh Thuan (485), Kon Tum (358), Quang Nam (284), Bac Lieu (202), An Giang (174), Kien Giang (155), Long An (148), Dong Thap (90), Tien Giang (81), Can Tho (61), Soc Trang (47), Ninh Thuan (45), Dong Nai (31) and Hau Giang (20).

In addition, the Departments of Health of Quang Ninh and Binh Dinh provices reported additional 17,600 and 5,662 cases, respectively, raising total cases on Tuesday to 111,640 and Viet Nam's national COVID-19 patient tally to 9,386,489.

The ministry also said there were 1,679,138 new recoveries, taking the total number of recovered cases to 7,153,846.
