Health ministry confirms 15,954 COVID-19 cases

VGP – The Ministry of Health confirmed 15,954 COVID-19 cases on Wednesday, raising the national caseload to 2,187,481.

The national caseload includes 166 Omicron cases, according to the ministry.

The same day, the ministry reported 20,540 recoveries, taking the total number of recovered cases to 1,924,609.

The ministry also announced further 155 fatalities, bringing the nation's COVID-19 death toll to 37,165 or 1.7 percent of the total infections.

The nation has administered 178,818,612 COVID-19 vaccine doses, an increase of 1,442,562 doses from Tuesday./.
