In December, housing, electric and water supplies, fuels, and building materials all have gone dowen by 0.94%; medicines and health services by 0.10%; transport and telecommunication services 6.96%.
Increases are seen in food ( 0.35%); beverage and cigarettes ( 0.76%); garments and footwear ( 1.10%); household utensils ( 0.25%); cultural and tourist services ( 2.79%).

According to the municipal People’s Committee, though the purchase season starts, people’s  purchase power is not so strong because the prices of many essential products, especially food, still stand high.
Thus, enterprises are encouraged to further cut costs, reduce prices, upgrade after-sales services, expand and improve their distribution networks in order to stimulate production and business.
The municipal authority will enhance market management, anti-smuggling, food safety and hygiene, especially during the upcoming traditional Lunar New Year.
