Hateco expands global tech alliance to develop unmanned aerial ecosystem in Viet Nam

The milestone underscores Hateco’s proactive strategy to broaden high-level international partnerships, absorb frontier technologies, and unlock high-yield service models across its integrated corporate ecosystem.

Within the partnership, Hateco Group will contribute its integrated ecosystem spanning logistics, seaports, industrial parks, and real estate, providing a practical foundation for exploring potential applications of UAV/eVTOL technologies. Hung Viet will coordinate cooperation activities in Viet Nam; ASV will facilitate connections with international resources and partners; while EHang will provide or support the provision of aerial vehicles, together with relevant technological, technical, and professional solutions.

Under the framework of the MOU agreement, the four parties will combine institutional resources, integrating extensive physical infrastructure assets with frontier aviation technology, advanced project execution capabilities, and global partnership channels. This collaborative platform will drive in-depth feasibility studies, formulate regulatory-compliant testing scenarios, and progressively introduce autonomous unmanned flight solutions into daily operations and phased deployments of advanced air mobility solutions in Viet Nam.

Within this consortium, Hateco Group serves as the strategic infrastructure anchor—providing access to a comprehensive asset network spanning logistics hubs, seaports, industrial zones, and real estate, establishing a practical testing ground for advanced air mobility applications. Hung Viet Consulting assumes the role of national operational coordinator; ASV links international capital, technology, and strategic partners; while EHang participates by supplying or supporting the provision of aerial vehicles, along with relevant technological platforms, technical engineering, and specialized industry expertise.

Unlocking New Frontiers for Logistics and Smart Infrastructure 

A primary thrust of the initiative focuses on deploying commercial UAV/eVTOL systems for cargo transport between logistics clusters, inland container depots (ICDs), industrial parks, bonded warehouses, and regional transit hubs. The objective centers on embedding automated aerial solutions directly into established supply chain nodes to compress transit times and optimize resource efficiency.

In the maritime port sector, the consortium will model for transporting cargo, materials, spare parts, and daily provisions between onshore facilities, port perimeters, and vessels at sea, and port-perimeter transport solutions for urgent spare parts, critical equipment, documentation, and supplies. Pilot corridors are slated for preliminary evaluation in key national maritime hubs, including Lach Huyen (Hai Phong) and Lien Chieu (Da Nang), alongside other viable maritime hubs.

Complementing vehicle operations, the partnership will evaluate the development of specialized ground support infrastructure, specifically Vertiports featuring vertical take-off and landing pads, automated charging arrays, and air traffic dispatch systems. Digital management architecture will run concurrently to govern automated tracking, manifest monitoring, and end-to-end service orchestration.

To guarantee sustainable, sovereign domestic operations, the alliance aims to cultivate long-term UAV/eVTOL capacity in Viet Nam through structured training, maintenance and operations (M&O), research and development (R&D), and systematic technology transfer tailored to national regulatory frameworks.

Consolidating Global Linkages for Sustainable Infrastructure Expansion

Anchored by a resilient, multi-sector asset base in industrial real estate, deep-water seaports, and modern logistics, Hateco holds the institutional scale required to bridge frontier aerial mobility with existing physical trade gateways.

The strategic deployment will advance across disciplined phases: foundational research, technical compliance, staged corridor pilots, comprehensive operational assessments, and commercial scale-up, strictly governed by national safety standards, regulatory approvals, and economic viability.

The signing reinforces Hateco's trajectory in capturing the low-altitude economy, mobilizing elite international alliances, and setting operational benchmarks for sustainable, digitized logistics infrastructure in Viet Nam.
