Hai Phong to inoculate adolescents against COVID-19 from Nov. 10

VGP – Hai Phong planned to vaccinate 184,673 children aged between 12 and 17 against COVID-19, starting from November 10.

Accordingly, children in the northern port city will be given shots of Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine, with the second doses to be taken four weeks after the first ones.

Hai Phong, the biggest coastal city in the northern region of Viet Nam was listed among Top 10 localities with lowest rates of vaccination besides Quang Binh, Kien Giang, Dak Nong, Hung Yen, Ca Mau, Ha Nam, Dak Lak, Bac Can, and Hau Giang.

The city confirmed only 104 cases of COVID-19 and zero fatality.

Other localities rolling out vaccination campaign for the 12-17 age group include Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, Binh Duong, Kien Giang, Ninh Binh, Quang Ninh, Soc Trang, Ca Mau, Tay Ninh and Vinh Long.
