Ha Noi's high school students to go back schools from next week

VGP – High school students in Ha Noi’s safe areas will go back to schools from December 6, the municipal People’s Committee announced Thursday.

The safe areas mean no community infection case of COVID-19 has been reported over the last 14 days by November 30, according to a plan approved by the municipal People’s Committee.

The students will only attend either morning or afternoon classes each day, and at the selected schools there would be no mid-day meals.

Teachers are only allowed to give offline lessons provided that they are fully vaccinated against coronavirus.

Earlier, ninth-graders in 18 suburban districts were allow to resume physical learning from November 22.

Over the past week, over 36,000 students in the capital city have returned to school safely, with no infections detected in schools.

Since November 23, the capital has embarked on a campaign to vaccinate Covid-19 for children aged 15-17, with vaccination rate reaching more than 90 percent.

On November 29, the municipal People's Committee classified 19 districts as level 1 (green zone) and other 11 districts as level 2 (yellow zone) under a four-level COVID-19 risk assessment system.

Specifically, green zones are Hoan Kiem, Cau Giay, Thanh Xuan, Tay Ho, Ba Vi, Chuong My, Dan Phuong, Dong Anh, Hoai Duc,  My Duc, Phu Xuyen, Phuc Tho,  Soc Son, Son Tay, Thach That, Thanh Oai,  Thanh Tri, Thuong Tin, and Ung Hoa are labeled “green zone.” 

Meanwhile, Ba Dinh, Bac Tu Liem, Dong Da, Gia Lam, Ha Dong, Hai Ba Trung, Hoang Mai, Long Bien, Me Linh, Nam Tu Liem, and Quoc Oai are labeled yellow zone./.
