Train services are resumed on both Long Bien and Duong bridges

The decision took effect from 3 p.m. on September 13, 2024. However, over 13-ton trucks are still prohibited on the Duong bridge.

Water levels in northern Viet Nam's rivers began to recede, with the Red River in Ha Noi peaking at 11.3 meters on Thursday morning before falling to warning level 1 on Friday afternoon.

On September 10, the Ha Noi municipal People's Committee imposed the bans on the two bridges as Red River and Duong River floodwaters exceeded warning level 2.

The railway sector temporarily halted train services over the two bridges to ensure transportation safety.

The capital experienced its most severe floods in two decades, prompting widespread evacuations and leaving thousands stranded and reliant on emergency aid./.
