The performances were part of the "BIGBANG 2026-2027 World Tour (XX: COSMOS)," which is scheduled the K-pop band to 19 cities with 33 shows.
The Ha Noi Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism described the concerts as a major international cultural and entertainment event in 2026, noting that they met growing public demand for cultural experiences while generating positive spillover effects for tourism, services and the capital's image.
The event also demonstrated Ha Noi's appeal and capacity to host international music performances, while highlighting the need to strengthen management, coordination, organization and safety measures for large-scale events, the department said.
The concerts attracted widespread attention from domestic and international audiences and media, boosting visitor arrivals and demand for tourism services.
According to figures released by the department on the afternoon of October 27, Ha Noi welcomed nearly 220,000 visitors on October 23-24, up 15.6 percent from the previous week. International arrivals reached approximately 67,900.
Demand for transportation, shopping, dining and accommodation also increased significantly. Flight bookings to Ha Noi on Trip.com rose 74 percent, while searches for travel to the capital on Traveloka quadrupled. Occupancy rates at three- to five-star hotels in the area reached between 75 and 100 percent.
The city will continue to improve management, inter-agency coordination and safety arrangements for international cultural and artistic events, ensuring favorable conditions for both residents and visitors.
Ha Noi also aims to better harness its cultural resources to develop the cultural industry and establish the capital as a professional, safe, civilized and attractive destination for major cultural and entertainment events.
In 2023, Ha Noi also hosted BlackPink's performances, which also generated significant tourism revenues.
During the two-day BlackPink World Tour at My Dinh National Stadium, the capital welcomed approximately 170,000 visitors, including more than 30,000 international tourists. Tourism revenue generated during the two concert days was estimated at VND630 billion (US$26.6 million), underscoring the potential of major international music events to stimulate tourism, services and the local economy./.
