Ha Noi begins construction of five urban metro lines
VGP – Prime Minister Le Minh Hung on June 22 attended the groundbreaking ceremony of Ha Noi's five metro lines with total length of 298.5 kilometers.

These metro lines are:
- Metro line No.1: Thuong Tin- Tam Hung- Thuong Phuc- Dan Hoa- Ngoc Hoi – Ha Noi Station – Yen Vien- Noi Bai International Aport. The total length of the line is 81 kilometers.
- Metro line No. 2: Noi Bai International Airport – Tran Hung Dao – Thuong Dinh – Thuong Tin – Tam Hung – Thuong Phuc – Dan Hoa. The total length of the line is 56.5 kilometers.
- Metro line No. 8: Hoa Lac – Son Dong - Mai Dich – Ring Road No.3 – Linh Nam – Duong Xa. The total length of the line is 91 kilometers.
- Metro line No. 10: Dong Anh – Vo Chi Cong – Ring Road No. 3 – Ring Road No. 2.5 - Times City – Dong Anh. The total length of the line is 43 kilometers.
- Metro line No. 14: Thang Long Bridge – Hong Ha - Gia Lam. The total length of the line is 27 kilometers.
These metro lines are part of the capital city's plan to build 18 metro lines with a total length of 979 kilometers through 2030./.
