Gov’t selects 99 priority technologies for development

VGP – Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc has signed Decision No. 38/2020/QD-TTg on category of high technologies prioritized for investment and development and a list of high-tech products to be encouraged for development.

The aforesaid technologies include artificial intelligence, Internet of things, quantum technology, bioinformatics, aviation, space and remote sensing technology, technology for designing and manufacturing high-resolution screens, and advanced 3D printing technology.

Meanwhile, high-tech products include smart cards, smart card readers, services of consulting, designing, and leasing information technology systems, smart education and training systems, and equipment, and products and solutions of new-generation gene sequencing technology.

Earlier, the Government chief inked Decision No. 49/2010/QD-TTg, dated July 19, 2020 approving a list of 46 high technologies prioritized for development investment and a list of 76 hi-tech products eligible for development promotion./.
