Gov’t provides more aid to flood-hit provinces

VGP - Prime Minister Nguyễn Tấn Dũng has decided to allocate VND 55 billion and 3,100 tons of rice to help four central provinces overcome the aftermaths of recent floods.

Thừa Thiên-Huế province will receive VND 15 billion and 1,000 tons of rice; Quảng Nam province, VND 25 billion and 1,000 tons of rice; Quảng Ngãi province, VND 5 billion and 100 tons of rice; and Bình Định province, VND 10 billion and 1,000 tons of rice.

The Prime Minister assigned Chairpersons of the provincial People’s Committees of the four provinces to manage and allocate the money and rice to local residents.

Earlier, the Prime Minister also allocated VND 135 billion and 3,600 tons of rice from national reserves to assist seven flood-hit localities./.
