Gov’t provides meal allowance for primary and middle pupils in border communes

VGP – Each pupil in border areas shall be provided with a meal allowance of VND450,000 per month, according to the Government’s Decree No. 339/2025/ND-CP.

Pupils in a border commune enjoy free lunch

This policy shall only be applicable to pupils studying at primary and middle schools in landborder communes, maximum nine months per academic year.

The Government also decided that each pupil in boder communes shall receive 0.8kg of rice per month, maximum nine months per academic year.

Primary and middle schools in border communes shall have to organize lunch meals for their pupils.

The Decree shall take effect from December 25, 2025./.
