Gov’t passes VNA equitization plan

VGP – The PM has recently ratified the equitization plan of the Viet Nam Airlines company Limited (Vietnam Airlines) with over VND14 trillion of charter capital.

Vietnam Airlines (VNA) has its own legal status, seal and account in line with the current regulations; organization and operation in accordance with its Charter, the Enterprise Law and other related regulations.

With over VND14 trillion of charter capital, VNA has over 1.41 billion shares with a par value of VND 10,000  share.

The State holds over 1 billion shares (75% of charter capital); employees over 20 million of shares (1.475%); union organizations 705,092 shares (0.05%); strategic investors with over 282 million of shares  (over 20%) and over 49 million of shares (3.475%) for public auction sale.       

The PM assigned the Ministry of Transport to decide the starting price for VNA shares in the IPO; to decide the criteria and select the strategic investors./.
