Gov't asks localities to find shelters for homeless people during COVID-19 time

VGP – Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has tasked municipal/provincial authorities to find shelters and provide necessary support for homeless people in a bid to prevent them from contracting COVID-19 and limit spread of COVID-19.

Earlier, PM Pham also asked localities to provide support, including food and medicine, for residents so that they would stay put and follow social distancing measures.

On August 24, Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam asked HCM City, the epicenter of Viet Nam’s fourth wave of COVID-19 resurgence to gather all homeless people to either quarantine facilities or social welfare shelters after testing for COVID-19.
