
Cleanup efforts in Doan Nghiem Primary School in Da Nang's Dai Loc Commune
As of November 1, floods induced by heavy rains left 35 people dead and missing in central Viet Nam over the past days, the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment reported. Hue and Da Nang cities are the hardest-hit with 12 and 11 deaths, respectively.
Floods swept away 78 houses in Da Nang, 13 in Quang Ngai province; damaging 96 houses in Da Nang, 74 in Quang Ngai province and 11 in Lam Dong province.
More than 22,000 houses are under floodwater, inlcuding 1,705 in Ha Tinh province, 3,608 in Quang Tri province, 11,573 houses in Da Nang, and 633 in Lam Dong province.
Nearly 5,000 hectares of crops and rice have been inundated./.
