Fourteen new COVID-19 cases bring national tally to 2,942

VGP – Three local residents and eleven Vietnamese returnees became the latest COVID-19 patients in Viet Nam, the Ministry of Health reported Saturday afternoon.

All the three new local infection cases are natives of Ha Nam Province and linked to patient 2899, raising the total number of COVID-19 cases in the locality to 10.

Meanwhile, eleven Vietnamese were brought home from Japan (five), the United Arab Emirates (one), Canada (one), Romania (one) or returned to Viet Nam (3) via the Cau Treo border gate between April 13-29.

The same day, 33 patients were declared free of COVID-19, taking the total recoveries to 2,549, said the ministry./.
