Four Cabinet ministers to partake in Q&A session

VGP - Ministers of Agriculture and Rural Development, Finance, Transport, and the Governor of the State Bank of Viet Nam will participate in the National Assembly’s Q&A session scheduled from June 7-9.

Specifically, Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Le Minh Hoan will answer law-makers' questions on organization of agricultural production and consumption, mechanisms and policies on trade promotion and farm produce export, and solutions to stabilize prices of certain inputs for agricultural production

The minister will also brief on measures to attract investment in agriculture, boost high-tech applications in agricultural production, respond to climate change, and ensure sustainable development. 

Minister of Finance Ho Duc Phoc is expected to talk about the outcomes of the implementation the National Assembly’s Resolution 43/2022/QH15 on fiscal and monetary policies in support of socio-economic recovery and development program. 

He will also touch upon ways to speed up the process of equitization and withdrawal of State capital from State-owned enterprises, operation of the capital, stock, and corporate bond markets, as well as solutions to tax management of digital-based business activities.

Governor of the State Bank of Viet Nam Nguyen Thi Hong will answer inquiries on fiscal policies in favor of the implementation of the Government's socio-economic recovery and development program, inflation control to consolidate the macro-economic stability. 

She will also provide updates on restructuring of credit organizations, settlement of poorly-performing commercial banks and bad debts, credit management in risk areas, prevention of black credit and high-tech crimes will be explained. 

Minister of Transport Nguyen Van The is expected to respond to questions on prevention of wastefulness in key transport projects.

The third sitting of the 15th National Assembly is scheduled to take place from May 23 to June 17, during which the legislators are set to consider and pass five draft laws, three resolutions.

The five bills planned to be approved are Law on Mobile Police, Law on Cinema (revised), Law on Insurance Business (revised), Law on Emulation and Commendation (revised), and Law on Intellectual Property (revised).

Six draft laws to be put on the table for discussion are Petroleum Law (revised), Law on Domestic Violence Prevention and Control (revised), Law on Inspection (revised), Law on the implementation of grassroots democracy, Law on amendments and supplements to a number of articles of the Law on Radio Frequencies, and Law on medical examination and treatment (revised).

In addition, the law-makers will scrutinize socio-economic development and State budget performance and other important issues./.
