Forty new COVID-19 cases take national tally to 6,396

VGP – The Ministry of Health confirmed 40 new community infection cases of COVID-19 on Friday noon, raising the national caseload to 6,396.

The latest patients were recorded in Bac Giang (23), Bac Ninh (13), Hai Duong (one), Hung Yen (one), Ha Nam (one), and Ha Noi (one).

With these new cases, the total positive cases confirmed over the last 18 hours reached 80, of whom 53 were documented in the northern province of Bac Giang – the current biggest COVID-19 hotspot in Viet Nam.

The ministry also reported that 43 patients have recovered and exited hospitals, bringing the total recoveries to 2,896./.
