The forestry sector enjoyed a trade surplus of US$4.97 billion in nine months, including US$4.64 billion from exporting wood. The sector aims to earn US$9 billion from exporting for the whole year.
The U.S., Japan, the EU, China and the Republic of Korea were the largest importers with the export turnover of US$5.17 billion, accounting for 86.72%.
These markets also saw high growths over the recent months, such as the U.S. up 15.5%, China up 6.45%, Japan up 10.3%, the RoK up 52.3%, and the EU up 5.06%.
