As Viet Nam has sent first flight to bring home 300 citizens who arrived in Romania from Ukraine, Bui asked Romanian competent authorities to create favorable conditions for the flight.

He expressed thanks to Romania for arranging shelters for Vietnamese nationals from Ukraine and for gifting Viet Nam 300,000 AstraZeneca vaccine doses last July to help the Southeast Asian country in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.

Aurescu affirmed his country's competent authorities are coordinating closely with Vietnamese Embassy and associations in Romania to support Vietnamese nationals and their families from Ukraine.

The two ministers also discussed measures to further expand and deepen the traditional friendship and cooperation between the two countries, including promoting the exchange of visits, maintaining the political consultation mechanism and the joint committee for economic, trade and investment cooperation, strengthening cooperation in traditional spheres like education and training, culture, and tourism, and accelerating cooperation in potential areas like manpower and agriculture.

On the occasion, Bui extended his invitation to Aurescu to visit Viet Nam to discuss bilateral and multilateral issues of shared concerns and the latter accepted the invitation with pleasure./.
