Bakhtiyor Saidov conveyed the President of Uzbekistan's deep condolences to the Vietnamese Party, President To Lam, the Government, the people of Viet Nam as well as the family of Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong over the passing of the Vietnamese Party leader.
In the minds of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the people of Uzbekistan, Party chief Nguyen Phu Trong is an outstanding and devoted leader of the Vietnamese people, an outstanding politician who made great contributions to Viet Nam's socio-economic development, contributing to strengthening Viet Nam's status and position in the region and in the international arena, he noted.
The Vietnamese leader contributed greatly to the development of the fruitful and comprehensive relations between Viet Nam and Uzbekistan, he said, asserting that Party leader Nguyen Phu Trong will forever be in the hearts of the Uzbek people.
Viet Nam is Uzbekistan's leading important partner in Southeast Asia, reiterated the diplomat, stating to continue strengthening close cooperation between the two countries' Ministries of Foreign Affairs, contributing to further promoting Viet Nam-Uzbekistan cooperative relations.
Bui, for his part, affirmed that Viet Nam always attaches importance to friendly relations and multifaceted cooperation with Central Asian countries, in general, and Uzbekistan, in particular, a country with a favorable geographical location and an important role in connecting Asia with Europe.
He expressed his delight at the active developments in the two nations' ties via bilateral and multilateral contacts.
Both sides have actively carried out measures to step up cooperation in politics and diplomacy, economics and trade, agriculture, culture, education, tourism, transportation, and people-to-people links, he said.
Both diplomats consented that the two foreign ministries will continue to play a leading role in promoting bilateral cooperation in potential fields of both sides, via increasing all-level delegation exchanges.
They vowed to soon organize the 8th meeting of Viet Nam-Uzbekistan Intergovernmental Committee on Economic, Trade and Technical Cooperation and maintain the deputy ministerial-level political consultation./.
