First Vietnamese supermarket to be inaugurated in Cambodia next month

VGP - The first Vietnamese-invested supermarket in Cambodia will be put into operation on December 29, Mr. Seng Meng, Vice Chairman of the Vietnamese Enterprise Association in the kingdom, told reporters on November 27 in Hồ Chí Minh City.

Covering an area of 3,300 m2 in Phnom Penh, the US $3-million supermarket, invested by Z38 Company, member of the association, will trade and introduce Vietnamese goods to Cambodian consumers and Vietnamese people who live and work in Cambodia.

The two-way trade turnover between Việt Nam and Cambodia reached nearly US $1.3 billion in the first 9 months of this year, up 36.2% on-year.

Specifically, Việt Nam exported nearly US $1.1 billion worth of goods to Cambodia, up 34.4%.
